Openings for undergraduate & graduate students

Opening for post-doctoral fellow(s)

Description of work: The main research goal of this center is to analyze various spatio-temporal pattern dynamics (i.e., distributed electrical and chemical activities) arising in living biological cell networks, and to explore their relationships to various computational and physiological functions of the networks.  This effort is accompanied by computer simulations and theoretical analyses. The current research group includes one professor, one full-time research professor, seven graduate students, and one staff members.  We also have strong campus-wide research collaborations with the medical school and the engineering school of the university. The successful candidate will either work in one of the on-going research topics of the center or develop his (or her) own project.

RequirementsApplicants who have a PhD degree in biophysics, bioengineering, electro-physiology, cell biology, or computational neuroscience are encouraged to apply. Qualified candidates from different disciplines but with strong desire to move into this fast growing biophysics program are very much encouraged to apply as well.

PaymentThe appointment will be for one year initially but renewable for another years.  The starting salary will be negotiated based on the applicant's experiences (*beginning salary is approximately, 40,000,000 Korean Won annually for a starting young PhD).

Interested applicants should submit their detailed CV (including two references) to:
